Pecan Pie —

1 cup sugar 1 cup dark Karo syrup
¼ cup melted butter
3 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 ½ cups pecans ( I use some whole and some crushed).

cooking directions:

Use either a frozen pie shell or a Pillsbury refrigerated pie shell. Follow directions on the package for the shells.

Mix all ingredients except some of the whole pecans. Pour in shell that is sitting on a cookie sheet. Place whole pecans on the top in a pattern.

Bake at 375 for about 40-45 minutes. It might look jiggly but take it out anyway, it will stiffen up.
